The testimony of Jesus and Ana Maria which is found in our June Letter in an important testimony for several reasons.  Several years ago a lady who Pat has just won to the Lord a few weeks earlier came by our house.  She told us she was taking a trip to Hermosillo to visit her mother and wanted Pat to write down some kind of guide for her to use to tell her mother about Christ.  After putting a quick guide together Pat and I discussed the idea of making one of a more permanent nature and using it in our teaching.  In the next few weeks Pat put together a discipleship series of lessons that clearly presented the Gospel and went on to explain the results of salvation, the character of God, the character of Jesus, the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian and the responsibilities of the Christian to love and serve the Lord.  It quickly became the center of our teaching we found the series to be very effective.  We now have added hundreds of lessons including book studies, character studies and survey studies.  For years we have used these studies as a foundation for our studies with the people in their homes and have found them to be very effective.  Recently we have seen that when our time with the individuals is limited and we simply give a copy of our first lesson to an individual, they are using the lesson as a guide and trusting Christ as Savior without our leading them through the study.  What a wonder blessing and it has become a very important matter of prayer to us.  Please join us in this prayer that the effectiveness of especially this first lesson empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring the lost to Christ.
