Amber and Jose

Amber was ten years old when she entered Mexico.  When we were living in Dieciseis de Septiembre our family made many trips to the Children’s Hospital in Hermosillo taking people to give blood for a young boy in the village who being treated for leukemia. The young boy who was named Ramon eventually died, and as a result of those many trips to the hospital we all became familiar with the plight of the many parents who had sick children in the hospital. Many of these parents were extremely poor and no place to stay while their children were in the hospital being treated.  They ended up sleeping on the grounds around the hospital with no food and no money.  Amber was only thirteen at the time, but her young age did not prevent her from making a promise to the Lord that she would eventually come to Hermosillo and minister to these parents and also to the children being treated. Six years later when Amber was 19 she moved to Hermosillo and begin ministering at the hospital providing food for the hungry parents, praying with them for the healing of their children.  Amber presented the Gospel to all those to whom she ministered and has seen thousands  come to the Lord.  While in Hermosillo she met Jose, led him to the Lord and became his wife.   They now have three children and work together  in the hospitals, poor areas, and villages.
