Summer has grown up on the mission field and has always been a vital part of the teaching team. In her early teen years she grew interested in teaching children and young teens. It was not uncommon to see Summer come to our house being followed by thirty or forty children coming to hear her teach about Jesus. While growing up Summer had several friends die due to simple medical problems which would be considered minor in the United States. These experiences led her to seek training in the field of medicine. Last Year she was awarded a full scholarship For the nursing program at Grand Canyon University. She will graduate in August of 2010 with a bachelors of science degree. She then plans on eventually working on the mission field as a nurse.
